I had a great week! On Wednesday, I briefly mentioned on my radio show a need for coffee at Main Street Project. Local roaster Writers & Rockers Coffee contacted me to say they were donating 50 pounds of their Coffee With The Queen blend, inspired by The Pumps and Orphan. Owner Robert Young says he called Chris Burke-Gaffney after listening to my show and Chris was all in. I had Rob on my show on Thursday to talk about his donation and Ana Ziprick from Main Street Project joined us to thank him. I challenged others to meet and beat what Rob and Chris did and within half an hour, Shaun Jeffrey at the Manitoba Restaurant & Foodservices Association texted me to say Gordon Food Services was giving 22 cases of coffee on behalf of the association’s members.
